Dr. Joseph P. Barry, DDS has practiced General Dentistry since graduating from Loyola Dental School in 1980. In addition to his work in General Dentistry, root canal treatment, implant dentistry, children’s and special needs dentistry, Dr. Barry is Board Certificated by The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Barry has treated many patients with a wide range of dental fears. He is licensed in IV conscious sedation and is part of a very small group of general dentists that use sedation to allow patients to sleep through their dental visit.
Dr. Barry is now retired.
Victor J. Grandinetti, DDS is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, earning his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998. He also completed training at The Dawson Center in Florida for correcting temporomandibular joint disorders and rehabilitating patients’ mouths. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois Dental Society. As an active member in a dental study club he is kept up to date on current dental knowledge and techniques.
Dr. Grandinetti believes that educating his patients is the first step to providing excellent dental care. Intra-oral pictures allow patients to see what is recommended and make educated decisions regarding their dental treatment. Dr. Grandinetti has experience with All on Four treatments as well as the restoration of Dental Implants. He is committed to providing the most comprehensive dental care for each of his patients.
His practice encompasses preventative, cosmetic and restorative dentistry for the entire family. Dr. Grandinetti is also a preferred provider for Invisalign invisible braces.
Dr. Grandinetti enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. When not in the office Dr. Grandinetti enjoys basketball, chess, hiking and spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors.
Dr. Therese Murphy-Swanson, DDS began her dental career in 1987 upon graduating from Loyola University. While practicing dentistry she also serves as a member of the DMORT team of Forensic Dentists, a Federal Level Response Team designed to provide mortuary assistance in the case of a mass fatality incident. Dr. Swanson has been deployed to the 9/11 World Trade Center (2001), Hurricane Charley (2004), Hurricane Katrina (2005), Hurricane Rita (2005), the earthquake in Haiti (2010) and Joplin, Missouri tornado relief (2011). Dr. Swanson has been a part of our team at Graceland Prairie Dental since 2008.
Dr. Paul Morrison, DDS grew up in southern New Jersey, outside of Philadelphia. He attended the University of Notre Dame where he completed his Bachelor of Science, and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in 2011. As a member of the American Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society, Dr. Morrison is committed to providing the most up-to-date and innovative treatments for his patients. He has recently completed an extensive course on the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Morrison got married in 2013, and when not in the office, he can be found building furniture in his workshop or on the road training for his next triathlon.
Linda Rinchiuso, R.D.H. – a registered hygienist since completion of her studies at Harper College in Palatine; Linda joined Dr. Barry’s team in 1985. In addition to her work at the practice, Linda and her husband are the parents of three sons.
Ashley Heenan, R.D.H. – a registered dental hygienist since her graduation from University of Illinois Chicago, Kennedy King Dental Hygiene program in 2008. She joined Graceland Prairie Dental in 2008. Ashley also has her Bachelors degree in business entrepreneurship and marketing/management from St. Mary’s University, Minnesota. Ashley is married to Kevin and they enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Margo Kurfess, R.D.H. – graduated from the hygiene program at William Rainey Harper College and has been a practicing hygienist for 34 years. Margo is married and has 3 grown children. She is a life long resident of Des Plaines and enjoys cooking and gardening.
Pamela Steele, R.D.H. – is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from William Rainey Harper College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 2012. Pamela has over 6 years experience in the dental field as a dental assistant. She is certified in CPR and the administration of Nitrous Oxide and Local Anesthetic. Pamela joined Graceland Prairie Dental in 2010 as a member of our clinical staff, and then transitioned as the hygiene department began to expand. Pamela enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, watching movies and playing recreational softball.
